BEWARE OF EMAILS OFFERING KILLING FOR PAYJakarta, 29/3/2007 (Kominfo – Newsroom) –The Jakarta police asked the community to beware of emails offering killing for pay. Jakarta Police PR chief Police High Commissioner Ketut Untung Yoga told the press here Wednesday (28/3) the one who puts the email might just want the money. Once he is paid, he will not do the killing.
But whatever it is, residents must take caution. “We will study this case first,” said Ketut.
Meanwhile, PR Division chief at the Police HQ Police Inspector General Sisno Adiwinoto said police are now investigating the case.
Killing for pay is a crime. Making oneself available to kill a fellow human for pay is tantamount to letting a crime to happen and, as such, has to be prevented. “We will take action against those responsible for the emails,” he said. (T.Ty/mul/id/hbk/ton) |
