AGO TO BAN AL-QIYADAH AL-ISLAMIYAH

             Jakarta 26/10/2007 (Kominfo-Newsroom) – The Attorney General Office will ban the Al-Qiyadah Al-Islamiyah  after getting  confirmation from the MUI (Indonesian Ulemas Council)  that the sect  deviates from the true teachings of  Islam.

             Also. AGO needs the confirmation of Bakor Pakem (Coordinating Agency Supervising Community Beliefs). According to Attorney General Hendarman Supandji here Thursday (26/10). 

             According to existing laws, the ban must have prior permit from the President. AGO will nevertheless keep monitoring Al-Qiyadah. 

              If all confirm that the sect should be banned, then AGO will issue the ban. The one guilty could be sentenced to five years jail. 

              Al-Qiyadah Al-Islamiyah was founded by Ahmad Moshaddeq alias H. Salam on July 23, 2006. He claimed to be the successor of the Prophet Mohammed  and became a prophet after going into seclusion for 40 days and nights.
